I worked with 3 Art Specialist classes (12-14 yrs) from Chestnut Grove Academy. I utilised student initiated idea generation to grow the project. Time Lapse and Stop Motion techniques were used along with video and green screen technology. iPads and iPods were used to capture the action View the final video below!

Chestnut Grove
Working with 3 specialist art classes consisting of year 7,8 and 9 students, we explored the concept of visualising sounds, and developed a shared visual/ animation vocabulary. We investigated Kandinsky's imagery and Jan Svankmajers video techniques. The creative project evolved with students’ in control of visual and audio choices.
An idea board allowed students to write their ideas, often impacting on the direction of the instruction and final outcomes. Many talents became apparent and these were utilised within varied creation, animation, performance, british sign language and filming activities.
